Our place, on the Gran Via
We're at Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes 300, in Sants-Montjuïc, a short walk from Plaça Espanya. The kitchen opens at eight in the morning and doesn't close until eleven at night.
How we work
Three things worth knowing before you come.
The full menu, all day
There are no separate brunch or kitchen hours. All nine set menus and every dish are available from opening to closing time.
Made to order
Pancakes, waffles and crêpes are made when you order them. That's why they take a little longer than if they were made in advance.
Just drop in
You don't need to book on weekdays. At weekends it's best to call ahead, especially mid-morning.

What to eat and when
The kitchen opens at eight in the morning and doesn't close until eleven at night, every day. So you don't have to choose between breakfast and lunch: the whole menu is available all day.
In the morning, brunch is the favourite: toasts, pancakes, waffles and bagels from the brunch menu, or one of the brunch set menus with coffee and fresh orange juice. At lunch and dinner, it's all about milanesas, our signature dish, burgers and grilled meats. And if you fancy a milanesa at ten in the morning or brunch at nine at night, you can have that too.
Groups and celebrations
We host lunches and dinners for groups with set menus and drinks included: company dinners, birthdays or get-togethers with friends. Write to us from the contact page with the date and number of people and we'll send you the options.

8:00. The shutters go up. The first to come in are people who work nearby, having a coffee and a croissant before they start. Soon after come those heading to the Fira and early risers on their way up Montjuïc.
10:30. On weekdays, mid-morning coffees and the odd informal meeting. At weekends, brunch time begins: tables of friends, families and pancakes everywhere.
13:30. Lunchtime. Hot sandwiches for those in a hurry, milanesas and grilled meats for those who sit down to eat, and takeaway orders heading to nearby offices.
17:00. The hour that doesn't exist in other restaurants. Here the kitchen keeps going: waffles for an afternoon treat, late lunches and hungry visitors coming down from Montjuïc.
20:30. Dinner. Tapas to share, pizzas, burgers and milanesas. Groups celebrating, company dinners and couples lingering over the table.
23:00. The kitchen closes. See you tomorrow at eight.
What's nearby
La Choza is in one of the liveliest parts of Barcelona. Within walking distance you'll find:
- Plaça Espanya and the Venetian towers, the gateway to Montjuïc.
- Las Arenas, the former bullring turned shopping centre, with a rooftop viewpoint.
- Joan Miró Park, next to Las Arenas, home to the artist's Dona i Ocell sculpture.
- Fira de Barcelona, whose Montjuïc venue is about ten minutes away on foot.
- MNAC, the Magic Fountain, CaixaForum and Poble Espanyol, up Avinguda de la Reina Maria Cristina.
That's why many of our guests combine their visit with something nearby: breakfast before a conference, lunch after the museum or dinner before watching the fountain.
Visiting from abroad?
Many first-time guests come from other cities or countries: trade-fair visitors, tourists staying near Plaça Espanya or travellers who've just arrived. If that's you, here are three things worth knowing. First, in Spain people eat lunch and dinner later than in most countries, but that doesn't matter here, because the kitchen is open from 8:00 to 23:00. Second, all menu prices include VAT, so what you see is what you pay. And third, if you want to try the house specialities, start with an empanada and follow it with a classic milanesa.
If you have any allergy or intolerance, let us know before ordering: we have allergen information for every dish.
